This image is courtesy of Donna and Stuart Wilensky Mineral Video and shows Copper included in
a Calcite crystal.
Image and Mineral properties may be retrieved by clicking the
right mouse button on the image.
When selecting a mineral you get all the available images of that
mineral as thumbnails.
Pick one, and blow it up.
If only one image is available, this will be displayed
immediately
You can also Zoom a part of the image by dragging a rectangle on
the area you would like to enlarge.
This zoom is a true bitmap zoom, i.e., uses a stretch bit
algorithm to compensate for higher bit granularity inside the
zoomed area.
This works like a "Digital Microscope", so that details
will be kept or even enhanced.
This will work OK in the range between 10% - 80% enlargement.
Zoom ratios over this will produce some bit fragmentation and
thus less detail displayed.

function Example
